01 · Not week one
The Scanner is the product you can build without a lawyer in the room. An interceptor is a flying machine with a catcher. On your own ground, against your own test inbound, it is a research flight. Against a stranger, it is a weapon system, and the project’s rule stands: we install, we build readiness, the authorised body presses the button.
Ten interceptors per inbound, nets not warheads, a receipt instead of a fireball.
02 · Off the shelf
German airframes exist: Quantum-Systems Vector is ISR, with C-UAS interceptor talk alongside Airbus H145M in 2026. That is a conversation, not a shopping cart. DJI is the inbound we test against, not the interceptor we field. A 5 or 7 inch FPV quad with a net pod is the citizen-shaped interceptor, and it is almost all rival-origin silicon today.
03 · The advanced joke that is also a research question
Four drones spanning a net like a fishing trawl. A missile flies in. How many drones to catch a rocket. Catch it so it does not go off. If it is command-detonated you cannot. If it goes off high, nothing on the ground dies, and something still rains. Then you wanted a 50 metre sack around the bang: the inbound goes straight in the bin. That escalated quickly. It stays on this page, marked as hypothesis, until the Scanner exists in the wild.
