Your ground

Fly a bird you own at a box you own.

That is the whole home test. If the scanner is quiet, the rest of Germany will also be quiet.

01 · Protocol

Put the Scanner on the balcony or the roof. Phone app counts as Scanner for this run.

Pick the inbound. A C1/C2 DJI Air or a Parrot, or a DIY quad with a Dronetag DRI. A Mini in C0 often broadcasts nothing. That is a different test, for the mics.

Stay over your own ground. Open category, daylight, no assembly of people, the usual EASA box.

Log: time, distance, RSSI or “heard / not heard”, wind, false alarms (cars, saws, blackbirds).

Repeat with a dark inbound (toy brushed quad, or Mini with RID off because C0). Acoustic should fire. RID should not.

02 · What this does not prove

A garden pass does not prove a city cell, a 10 km Shahed, or a fibre-optic FPV at night in rain. It proves the box is alive, the protocol can carry a DETECTION, and you did not invent a detector that only works in a slide deck.
